Hi and welcome to my Store. My name is Cindi Estes and I am proud to be teaching and promoting The Traditions Educational Program.

I have been painting since the early 80's having learned some very good basics from my first insructor. She taught me very well and I still find myself using the same rules to this day. However; with only the basics at my disposal I was very limited in what I could accomplish and I found myself wanting to do more.

In 2005 I found the Society of Decorative Painters (SDP) and my painting life was changed! This year I attempted my first CDA board and while it didn't pass I received a very helpful critique that will help me in my journey to become a Certified Decorative Artist.

In 2006 I found the Traditions Booth at the HOOT convention and talked with Martha Jansen for some time. After some months of investigating and hands on learning about the paint  my focus was changed from project painting to educated painting. Soon after I took the seminar classes to become a Traditions Teacher and I began the journey of a lifetime!!!

In 2007 I began a new adventure in teaching the Traditions Education Program by using the internet and Yahoo Groups. This method is a new frontier as mine is the only Traditions class being taught online. It has been an exciting ride learning what works for my students and how best to get the message of the lesson and atmosphere of an in-person class across to them; as well as add a personal touch, but I believe that I have come up with a winning strategy for my students.  I combine e-mail, an online support group and privately viewed videos for a complete virtual classroom experience.

Each lesson builds upon the previous lesson taught which results in a progressive learning experience. You may be surprised by what you can accomplish when shown the proper tools to use to learn and then paint what your minds eye creates!!
